Live Roller Conveyor

Belt driven roller conveyor is a powered conveyor where the load or product is carried directly on carrying rollers. An endless flat belt drives the carrying rollers. Adjustable height pressure rollers located below the carrying rollers engage the belt with the carrying rollers, providing the power to transport the product.

A complete belt driven roller conveyor is made up of several modular components that are assembled together to create a conveyor of the desired length. The main components used are as follows:

  • Drive(Center drive or End drive)
  • Intermediate
  • End take up
  • Drive belt
  • Support
  • Sideguard

General Construction

 

End drive

End drive has a standard length of 600mm roller bed combined with drive station, a base mounted motor drive the pulley using a chain and sprockets, the pulley are lagged to grip and pull the belt, the adjusting pressure rollers support the belt and have a friction to drive the carrying rollers, a steel plate is bottom assembled as the under guard, the main components of end drive bed sections typically include:

Intermediate

Intermediate sections make up most of the complete conveyor. There will be at least one intermediate in every complete conveyor. They are typically made in various standard lengths as required by the application, with a maximum section length of 3 meters. Sections are combined to form long runs of conveyor. The main components of intermediate section typically include:

  • Side frames C165X35X3-3000L
  • Cross ties
  • Carrying rollers Φ50
  • Pressure rollers Φ50
  • Return roller Φ50
  • Side guard as required
 

End Take-Up

End take-up also has a standard length of 600mm roller bed, it provides a manual tension for the drive belt, and the main components of end take-up section typically include:

  • Tail pulley Φ87
  • Tension bracket
  • Snub roller Φ63
  • Angle couplings
 

Support

Supports are used to adjust the height of the top of rollers and provided on normal centre. Supports are sized by the conveyor back-to-back dimension with mounting holes in top bracket spaced to match conveyor mounting holes dimension. Support typically include:

  • Boot weldments
  • Leg weldment
  • Brackets
  • Nut plates

Drive station

Drive station is a part of end drive, it normal assemble with end drive before delivery. See figure 3 End drive. When we adjust the tension bolt, the motor base can be moved on level so the drive chain can be tensioned. Drive station typically include:

  • Motor bracket
  • Motor
  • Sprockets
  • Chain
  • Chain cover
